AAbout a year ago, British Norton announced that works on the street-intended superbike with the V4 engine of 1,200 cc and 200 hp. Confirmation of that work, as announced by the company, coming this Fall and in the limited series of 200 units.
Meanwhile, on the Facebook page of the manufacturer, released the first rendering of the new machine. However, equally important is the news that the British are also preparing the version with the aggregate volume of 650cc, which will debut later this year as well.
If 650 cc sounds like an odd choice, means that you don’t follow the “Isle of Man TT ‘race, where Norton has been racing last few years. Sport bikes with 650cc compete in the “Lightweight TT” class, which is dominated by Kawasaki machines.
It is therefore expected that this 650cc machine is parallel to “twin” unit, which would meet the requirements for the mentioned competition class.
Also, on Norton superbike will dominate themes seen on its race bike at the TT, something that the concept sketch suggests as well. The premiere of both models we’ll likely see in November, at NEC Motorcycle Live show in Birmingham.
