With only ten copies that will be designed and estimated on a modest one million pounds, your chance to see Lister knobbly Stirling Moss are quite thin. But all those who come in Monterey this Sunday, can take a closer look this car at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Revived Knobbly is continuous version of Lister model that is powered by Jaguar engine made in 1950, as a very rare specimen which win the race at Silverstone in 1958 with Stirling Moss behind the wheel.
Earlier this year, Lister has again become a reality, in spirit and in practice, a special edition containing the same low suspension, lightweight magnesium body and ultralight tubular chassis. The power of this car is coming from the 3.8 liters engine and six cylinders in line, which is a reproduction of the aggregate model Jaguar D-Type, used in the original version. It produces 337hp and 400 Nm of torque with less than 840 kg from the start to hit a hundred in less than four seconds, while its top speed is 290 km/h.
Moss Edition also contains plenty of other components based on magnesium, special green and yellow liver, and personal blessing of Sir Stirling. In fact, 86 years-old retired racing driver would be next to his eponymous roadster at Pebble Beach in the Spanish bay this weekend.
