Aquaracer. The quintessential sports watch inspired by the lure of the deep. The Aquaracer name was first offered in 2004, when a new variant of the 2000 series was branded as the “2000 Aquaracer”. The success of those watches helped convince TAG Heuer to rename the 2000 collection to “Aquaracer”, a name that continues today. For 2016, TAG Heuer has prepared three new watches in the Aquaracer 300m Calibre 5 range- Blue, Red and Sand models featuring brightly-coloured dials and straps.
Case
The new watches feature a 43 mm Grade 2 titanium case with Red, Blue or Sand lacquered numerals depending on the model. The crystal of the date window also features a magnifier, that was reintroduced last year.
The base dial for each model is the same- a matte black dial with horizontal streak effect. What differs between models is the colour of the hand-applied polished and faceted indexes, each filled with grey luminescent markers.
