Asya is the second vessel from Heesen’s 47-meter series, a breed of yachts whose exterior design by the talented Frank Laupman of Omega Architects combines elegant traditional lines with contemporary flair, a marriage emphasised by the continuous glass windows and matching black paintwork on the main deck and upper decks. London-based studio Bannenberg & Rowell undertook Asya’s sophisticated interior design, and were reportedly inspired by the designs of Dieter Rams, Frank Lloyd-Wright and Tadao Ando.
Asya’s interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests overnight in 6 cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard in 5 cabins to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Asya features a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. She was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules, and is MCA LY2 Compliant.
This luxury yacht is also fitted with ‘zero speed stabilizers’ which work at anchor, increasing on-board comfort when the yacht is stationary, particularly in rough waters.
Powered by two MTU8V 4000 M63 diesel engines, M/Y ASYA’s well-engineered full displacement steel hull with bulbous bow provided smooth passage and exceeded the contractual speed by 0.8 knots. At her cruising speed (12 knots) she has a range of 4,000 nautical miles.
