In Berlin Acer presented a number of new laptops, and extremely thin Swift 7 is the most beautiful of them. There was also a huge gaming laptop with 21-inch curved display. At IFA tech show in Berlin with its Swift 7 laptop Acer has joined the category of super-slim and with only 9.98 millimeters climbed to the top of the thinnest laptops. The company said that their 13.3-inch laptop first came into the category of less than one centimeter.
It may be hard to see the difference compared to the HP’s Spectre and its thickness of 10.4 mm, but Acer managed to fit into Swift 7 respectable components, and the device looks attractive and is made of a single piece of aluminum. IPS screen displays images Full HD resolution, but is insensitive to the touch (thus would be more thicker).
On the inside, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage sit alongside the Intel Kaby Lake chip, which is passively cooled, so the whole laptop will be extremely quiet, but Acer says up to 9 hours on a single charge. It weighs 1.1 kilogram, and will be on sale in China in September for ¥6,999, followed by Europe and the United States in October, at prices of €1,299 and $999, respectively.
