Thanks to its spectacular layout where everything is upside down, Café “Toppels” near the German town of Wertheim became a sensation on the social networks. From the outside the house looks like it was laid on the roof, and the interior look even more unreal with furniture hanging from the ceiling, so it is not surprising that tourists are “completely freaked out” at this attraction.
The house and cafe belong to an imaginary family called the Toppels and their possessions are laid out throughout the property.
In the kitchen, cooking implements and items of food hang from the roof. The same situation is in the bathroom where the sink, toilet and bath threaten to fall to the ground. In a child’s bedroom a car racing kit is suspended above the ground.
The layout means that visitors can pose in the rooms for photos with their feet on the ground, but it appears in pictures like they are actually standing on the ceiling.
