With the Leica M-P Titanium Set, Leica Camera AG adds a new limited edition camera to the Leica rangefinder system portfolio. This is the fifth annual edition to be made with titanium, a metal that lends the camera and lens set a particularly distinctive and refined look. The set consists of a Leica M-P digital camera (Typ 240) and two lenses – a Leica Summicron-M 28 mm f/2 ASPH. and a Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 mm f/2 ASPH.
For this special version of the Leica M-P the top deck, the baseplate and the control elements are machined from solid titanium. This particularly resilient and hardwearing material underlines the already robust character of the M-Camera and makes it around 90 grams lighter than the standard production model. Other distinguishing features of this annual edition of the Leica M are the classic Leica script engraved on the top plate and a special edition serial number on the accessory shoe indicating the camera’s position in the series. Its elegant appearance is rounded off by body trim in full grain leather with outstanding grip and a matching leather carrying strap.
The titanium anodised finish of the Summicron-M 28 mm f/2 ASPH. and APO-Summicron-M 50 mm f/2 ASPH. aluminium lenses is perfectly matched to the camera; the distances in feet on the focusing scale and the focal length engraving are picked out in red. Both lenses feature a special serial number. In the case of the Summicron-M 28 mm f/2 ASPH., this on the retaining ring of the front element and, on the APO-Summicron-M 50 mm f/2 ASPH., it is engraved on the bayonet ring.
New Leica M-P Titanium Set will be offered in a strictly limited edition of 333 examples.
