Harley Davidson has recently introduced new models for the next season and with them a completely new engine Milwaukee Eight. This time, the factory has remained consistent over its centuries of tradition, air-cooled V twin at an angle of 45 degrees. This isn’t the first engine to be launched by Harley in this millennium. But. There’s always a but. Water-cooled drive at an angle of 60 degrees is not exactly typical of the brand.

A new “Milvoki 8” is just that! Air-cooled V twin at an angle of 45 degrees. Identification of “eight” in the name is the most important news in the engine – instead of two, the new engine has four valves in each cylinder, which means there are a total of eight.
Interestingly, the motor has only one camshaft, and one balance shaft, which, according to the constructors absorbs 75 percent of the primary vibration.
The engine will be offered in two displacements: 107 cubic inches (1753 cc for those of you using the new math) and 114 cu. in. (1868 cc), the larger of the two engines being offered in Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) models –– namely the CVO Limited and CVO Street Glide.
The engine, along with all-new front and rear suspension, will be featured in the model year 2017 touring motorcycle lineup.
