For this year’s INTERMOT show in Germany, BMW Motorrad has prepared two premieres. Both are part of ” heritage ” line, both are powered by iconic boxer “twin” engine and both are based on the R nineT platform. After R nineT Pure, German giant has unveiled another fair novelty – R nineT Racer, new “Café Racer” on the market. First of all should be congratulated to the design team, who managed to transform flexible R nineT platform into Café Racer model of exceptional style, with a very discreet white-blue-red graphics.
Both new models are expected to achieve good sales results, and familiar with the situation in the market suggest that it is precisely Racer variant could be a real bestseller.
Café Racer design has enough character to return to the golden era of motorcycle industry, but brings everything a modern motorcycle should have, including BWM system’s automatic stability control (ASC).
As far as the power unit, BMW R nineT Racer will, as is the case with the Pure variant and the rest of R nineT line use the “boxer” twin engine with a capacity of 1,170 cc with 110 hp.
In Europe it will cost around 13,300 euros.
