To celebrate one hundred years of existence, BMW presented several prototypes, including a motorcycle. They called it – BMW Motorrad VISION NEXT 100. Most interesting is that this is a self-balancing motorcycle! So, you can’t fall or experience a crash, so a helmet isn’t required. Necessary are only glasses through which information is exchanged between the driver and motor.
Motorcycle is fully digitized, and expectedly has zero emissions, even though the engine is designed to look just like standard BMW boxer.
The design is minimalist, the highest quality materials are used, and the seat and the side plates are made of carbon fiber. The basic idea was that the engine is reminiscent of the first BMW two-wheeler “R32” from 1923.
