Considering the growing demand for the Oceanic Range, Canados is delighted to introduce its new entry-level model of Fast Expedition vessels, the Oceanic Yacht 76’ which was officially introduced to the yachting industry during last 2016 Cannas Yachting Festival and delivered on the 1st of August 2016 to its owner. This delivery represents a true milestone for the Rome based iconic builder, as it is the first new model to be launched since Michel Karsenti acquired the shipyard.
She has been build and delivered from scratch in 5 month and delivered with one day delay on the contractual date, despite the client’s change orders. This first model has been sold before the project has been officially presented.
Like the larger Oceanic Yachts models, the 76’ benefits from Canados’ unique “Displaning” stepped hull that allows running the vessel at low speed in total comfort with reduced fuel consumption. This hull concept still allows running the boat at planning speeds from 26 to 30 knots depending on the power package selected by the client. Twin Caterpillar C18 Acert developing 1,150 HP, which allows for cruising speeds from 16 to 20 knots and a maximum speed of 25 knots, powers the first model. The Oceanic 76’ offers – exceptional outdoor spaces both on the aft deck and the oversized flying bridge entirely protected by its wing shaped hardtop.
The entire superstructure is made of Kevlar/Aramat to increase stability by reducing the center of gravity to the maximum. Equipped with a Seakeeper 16 gyro stabilization system, the Oceanic 76’ will stay side to a 2 meter swell without roll allowing guests to comfortably have lunch on the flying bridge.
The all new Oceanic 76’ GT is available in either 3 or 4 cabin versions (all on the lower deck) and two different main deck versions with either a fully enclosed galley to the front or an open American styled galley aft. The later opens both on the main saloon and aft deck which is an essential area of life onboard with its open-air dining table and its vast U shaped saloon. The tender garage hosts a 3,20 meter tender while the standard hydraulic swimming platform allows to carry a three- seat PWC or a 4-meter tender.
The main deck offers spectacular view on the water, thanks to oversized continuous lateral glass panels.
The wide body wheelhouse is equipped with two pantographic doors allowing for easy circulation when needed and for greater privacy for the guests when the crew is running the boat. The lower deck cabins also benefits from lots of natural lights, thanks to Canados’ signature recessed horizontal portholes that offer wide surface and optimal impact resistance. The foredeck is equipped with a dinette and access to the crew cabin for two.
In general, the Oceanic 76’ concept is in direct line with the rest of the Oceanic range that consists in the 95’, the 120’ and the 140’ for its easy maintenance, very simple handling and superior marine capacities and stability. Like every Canados built yacht, the DNA of its custom hand made interior concept will create the interior feeling of a superyacht in terms of quality, materials and fabrics.
