A pyramid of €50 burning bills to give light and warmth to the table. That is a very interesting concept, if you imagine the sheer amount of money that would take to keep the flames fed. The flame in question is fed by a pyramid that sits beneath the flame, made of currency notes. Amarist Studio along with Alejandro Monge, presents this new functional art piece. Of course, neither the money, the ashes nor the concrete is real.
As the artists/designers say, a complicated part of the design was to make it appear that the currency notes were burning, without actually having to put the (fake) notes on fire. Everything has been done with sculpting resins, paint, and paper that looks like charred money.
