Louis Vuitton recently opened a new building in Tokyo’s uber- chic shopping destination-The Ginza. Theo facade is artwork enowned Japanese Architect Jun Aok who fitted the building with a perforated aluminum shell giving it a quilted appearance.
Gentle bulges and dents elaborate the facade of opal beige reliefs. With these pattern, the facade reveals various appearances in sunlight, and also during the night, the LED lights behind the reliefs lit the facade to render another expression reminiscent of Louis Vuitton’s monogram.
LV has continually collaborated with Aoki, with this being the eight project completed by the architect for the label. Aoki has previously designed buildings for LV in Hong Kong and New York city as well.
