Following in-depth market research, the 42m/138ft Cayman project is Heesen’s response to widespread demand for a shallow draft, fast displacement full aluminium motoryacht arranged over three full decks.
Cayman features an all-star cast of designers, including the yard’s first interior design collaboration with Italian studio Hot Lab. Heesen explains that the full-size superyacht beach club, complete with cocktail bar and large swim platform, is unique among yachts in this class. This has been achieved by moving the tenders and toys to the foredeck to free up more room to relax at water level.

The skylounge on the bridge deck features a superyacht spa pool and plentiful seating, creating the perfect setting for al fresco dining with 360-degree views out to sea. Sliding glass doors provide access from the aft deck to the main saloon, which features two distinct zones: a relaxed lounge area and a more formal dining area, with seating for ten around an octagonal table.
Accommodation is for ten guests, split between an owner’s suite, two doubles and two twin cabins.

Situated on the main deck, the owner’s cabin spreads across Project Cayman’s full 8.8 metre beam and features its own private superyacht office and tactile floors made from soft hemp textiles.
Hot Lab describes the interior décor as exotic and modern, with rich ochre and turquoise highlights, inspired by the sand and waters of the Bahamas.

This theme is continued in the en suites, with tropical-style open bathrooms featuring free-standing totem washbasins to create a more spacious feel.
She offers the extra volume and comfort of a tri-decker in a design package of less than 400GT. Cayman has a modest draft of around 2.15m/7.05ft, ideal for safe and comfortable cruising in the Bahamas but also anywhere else in the world.
