Lamborghini’s family of Hurricane models is extended by a new version – with the open roof top and the rear-wheel drive. After Huracan Coupe model variant with rear-wheel drive, it was expected that the Italian manufacturer present the convertible version of the same car. It happened at the Motor Show in Los Angeles, where recently had its world premiere Huracan LP580-2 Spyder.
In the history of Lamorghini will remain recorded that since 1993, when debuted Diablo VT, each new model came standard with drive to all four wheels. However, the hard-core fans of cars of this brand secretly wished that the factory continues to offer versions in which engine power is transferred exclusively to the rear axle.
Lamborghini fulfills their desire with model Huracan, who now has not one, but two versions with rear-wheel drive – Coupe and Spyder version.
The soft, folding roof of the new model lowers and raises automatically, by pressing a button in the cockpit. For either of these two operations is necessary just 17 seconds and can be performed while driving, but only if speed doesn’t exceed 50 km/h. Fortunately, with a 5.2L V10 producing 580 hp, you won’t have to stay slowed down for long.
The car allows you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 319 km/h.
Expect the Huracán LP-580-2 Spyder at dealers beginning in January 2017.
