Pre-war racing model of Alfa Romeo is the result of Alfa’s cooperation with Scuderia, and according to many, it is the most beautiful racing model of its time. The car will be offered at auction in Paris, and the expected price is around 4.6 million euros. Mythical Italian brand Ferrari manufactures its cars and competes in races now almost 70 years. However, somewhere was supposed to start. Scuderia’s beginning achieved thanks to the collaboration with Alfa Romeo, which had already ravaged the tracks. Model that is offered at an auction is just the fruit of this cooperation. It is about Alfa Romeo Tipo B P3 produced in 1934.
This specimen is the second of only nine copies, which also has a rich racing history. It was also one of the first racing car with one seat. For design is credited Vittorio Jano, but many agree that this is the most beautiful racing model of that time. The engine is a 2.9 liter with two mechanical compressor.
It’s been almost 10 years since the last time this model was offered at auction, and potential buyers will be able to participate in the auction to be held in Paris early next year. From the auction house RM Sotheby’s estimates that the deals could range between 3.6 and 4.6 million euros.
