Johnnie Walker teamed up with Philip Lawson Johnston, specialist hand engraver of glass by appointment to Her Majesty The Queen, to create a one-of-a-kind limited edition bottle design. The John Walker Philip Lawson Johnston Edition has been “inspired by classical Scottish tradition” will be available exclusively at the Johnnie Walker House and will be available in two distinct designs, the “Classic MacNab” Challenge and the “Distillery Heritage”.
The Classic MacNab Challenge bottles are based on the novel called John MacNab by John Buchan. These bottles are engraved with species like the salmon, stag and grouse, all of which are found in the Scottish Highlands. The Distillery Heritage bottles on the other hand are engraved with an iconic 185-year-old distillery perched on the shore of Loch Harport.
“It is truly a privilege to witness Philip, one of the finest hand engravers of glass and Jim, one of world’s most respected whisky blenders, two extraordinary craftsmen, come together in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create beautiful, bespoke pieces of The John Walker, skillfully engraved as art pieces that will appeal to and be coveted by like-minded luxury consumers,” said Lawrence Law, global general manager of Johnnie Walker House.
