Rizzoli and Ducati have teamed up on a new book to be published this February that covers nine decades of some of the most beautiful bikes in the world.
2016 isn’t a year like any other: in fact, it coincides with the celebration of the nineteenth anniversary of Ducati, born on July 4, 1926, almost like a dream, thanks to three brothers – Adriano, Bruno and Marcello Cavalieri Ducati – with support from their father Antonio.
Ducati’s story is now told in a collector’s volume, an evocative itinerary with unique pictures that shed light on the aesthetic research and lines of the Ducati motorcycles. The story of Ducati, with its attention to style and design that, as always, has distinguished the brand from Borgo Panigale, the evolution of Design Ducati through 19 icons of style – from the Cucciolo to the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario, and then the 916 – offers over 150 photos taken by Giovanni De Sandre, in a precious large-format publication.
“Every motorbike of ours must prove it has all the genes of the brand. It must have a sporty style, that is, with adrenaline, muscular, fluid and technical. At the same time it must be a pure, essential design without frills, able to express lightness, high performance and fun while driving. A design that transmits, at first glance, an emotion that anticipates what one feels when driving our motorbikes.” Andrea Ferraresi, Style Centre Director.
The book titled as – “Ducati 90 Years: Stile Ducati: A Visual History of Ducati Design”, will be available for $90 from February 7th, 2017.
