Famous French perfume house Guerlain recently released limited edition of the legendary Mitsouko perfume in collaboration with the famous Japanese porcelain manufacturer Arita Porcelain Lab.
The bottle is handiwork perfect craftsmanship, made with the help of traditional techniques. The beautiful bottle is decorated with old Japanese symbol of happiness and tradition, yet exudes modernity. The famous bottle is also celebrating 400 years long tradition of porcelain making.
Mitsouko perfume is actually for the first time created by Jacques Guerlain in 1919 as perfect balance of groups Chypre Fruity fragrances for women (perfumes having a sharp note, which is based on the basis of bergamot, patchouli, oak moss …).
The new bottle pays tribute to timeless duration of the perfume with the addition of the symbol of the Japanese flag, red sun, which is a symbol of good luck and wealth. Also, Mitsouko name is borrowed from the heroine Mitsouko in Claude Farrère’s novel “La Bataille” about the love affair between a British Navy officer and the wife of Japanese admiral, during the Russo-Japanese War.
Apart from the setting sun, there are also other symbols that adorn modern bottle – plant paulownia which symbolizes elegance, plum tree symbolizing life, peonies to keep safe from the negative energy and feverfew which represents longevity.
