Artist from Vienna, Austria – Rainer Weber transforms his imagination into realty. While he was reading a book about Michail Kalashnikov, he decided to transfer the inspiration into a chair. And, thus the AK47 chair was born. In 2014, he showcased the chair which is comprised of actual guns, or formally guns, with 4 stb AK47 featuring a fixed stock and 2 stb AK47 featuring a so-called folding stock.
But now, Weber went even further and his famous chair got Midas touch. The same guns as on original chair are used as front chair legs and arm rests, but chair frameworks and disassembled guns were gold-plated and then assembled back together. Also, chair upholstery are covered in red, gold and black hand woven fabrics imported from London and Venice.
The 22 karat gold-plated chairs comes with gold-plated AK47 Falcon seat.
The cartridge belt also, gold-plated was manufactured in a special way in order to hold the original, chrome-plated AK47 cartridges. Another highlight is the original Russian steel helmet, which was likewise chrome-plated, and the interior leather-coated. Of course, the helmet is also gold-plated.
