Between 1967 and 1973, Maserati produced Ghibli model, whose design was otherwise meritorious Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. At the beginning, Ghibli was offered only as a coupe (1,170 pieces were produced), and in 1969 appeared Spyder variant constructed in only 128 copies. Of this number, only 25 of them were powered by 4.9 liter V8 engine (the rest had 4.7 liter engine), and one of them at recently Mecum Kissimmee auction held in Florida sold for $920,000.
This concrete Ghibli Spyder from 1969 has 330hp (engine is mated to a ZF five-speed manual transmission), and it is a restored specimen, re-painted in yellow color with excellent preserved leather interior.
