Jaguar E-Type from 1963 sold at Bonhams auction, for a whopping $7.37 million. It is about Jaguar E-Type, the most expensive sold at auction, and is one of only 12 copies. The car was driven only 6,437 kilometers in its 55-year history, had only three owners, but still it runs six-cylinder engine that develops 293hp and which is paired with a four-speed manual transmission.
Chassis number is S850667, and a car is tenth from 12 E-Type models produced between 1961 and 1963. He won the Australian GT Championship in 1963 and is one of the most original copies that are “survive” until today.
While was at the previous owner, it has been completely restored in 1999 in England, and then sold at auction in Florida.
Although the price of $7.37 million is dizzyingly high, it is not even close to the most expensive Jaguar of all time. Last year, D-Type from 1955 was sold for $21.78 million.
