Would you try Kit Kat Sushi? It’s not a joke. With all the flavors there are in the world, this last one really exists. In honor of Nestlé’s new Kit Kat shop Tokyo’s Ginza, the company is offering candy lovers specialty ‘sushi’ bars.
Don’t worry, the Kit Kats only look like seafood, as the candy itself has more normal flavor. (Well, normal for Japan.) Customers will have three flavors to choose from: tuna, tamago (egg), and uni.
The tuna bar is made with raspberry and white chocolate; the tamago with pumpkin pudding; and the uni with Hokkaido melon and mascarpone cheese. The last two come served with seaweed.
The Kit Kat sushi set is available for upwards of 3,000 yen (US$26) at the Ginza shop in highly limited quantities between February 2 and February 4. Expect them to go fast.
