Over the past two decades, many of the world’s leading studios have been asked to turn their practiced eyes to other high-end interiors. In particular, private aircraft design has blossomed from a niche within a niche to a fully fledged arm of the luxury interiors market. The proof of this is Design Q’s latest interior concept for the Avro Business Jet (ABJ). Design Q, a boutique studio based in England who specialises in automotive and aviation interior design has accepted the challenge handed to them by aerospace giant BAE Systems to create an irresistible luxury interior concepts for a regional business jet.
The ABJ Eleganté is the third of four ground breaking VIP interiors created for BAE Systems. Its highly sophisticated interior features a fluid layout that intuitively guides occupants through the aircraft and maximises the available space. The style is one of ‘comfortable luxury’ utilising rich material finishes with fluid shapes and new technology to create a harmonious overall effect.
DesignQ’s director Howard Guy says you can fly one home with the custom interior plus your own exterior livery for about $6 million.
