Dutch naval architecture studio Mulder Design has revealed the details about its latest 36m explorer yacht concept, that is being developed under the codename P1182. Spacious yacht, Explorer accommodates up to up to eight guests in a main-deck owner’s cabin, a VIP and a twin, with the possibility to convert the gym into a fourth cabin. The yacht can also sleep up a crew of up to 8 people.
Describing the project the team at Mulder say: “This robust 36m explorer yacht is a true go-anywhere-cruiser with it’s range of 4,200 nm. We wanted to create a unique atmosphere in the skylounge with breaking down the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces with full width glass doors which provide an unobstructed view from the skylounge to the aft wheelhouse deck.”
Aside from the skylounge, other key features include a superyacht elevator that connects all four decks and can be used as a dumb waiter, due to its proximity to the galley. Exterior relaxation options are plentiful, with a sundeck cocktail bar and adjacent Jacuzzi that boasts exceptional views out to sea.
Performance wise the vessel is powered by 2x Caterpillar C32 engines, providing her a top speed of 13.5 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots at 4200 nm.
Mulder Design currently has 69m project Spectre under construction at Benetti.
