Vladimir Putin was used as inspiration for the creation of perfume intended for women who admire the Russian leader.
The fragrance, called “Russian Woman” was created by perfume company Leaders. All Putin’s fans will have to hurry to grab a bottle, as only 1500 have been produced. Maxim Fomichev, the head of the brand, said: “Russia, as a woman, is standing behind her leader. This was the idea that inspired the creators of the perfume.”
The same company two years ago launched a perfume called “Number One“, also inspired by Putin.
“We sold 500 perfumes within a week. We have also orders from London, Ukraine and other countries,” Maxim added.
Part of the profits from the perfume will go towards helping Tatiana Subbotina, a Russian athlete who needs surgery after losing the feeling in her legs six years ago.
A matte bottle, 100 ml in volume, costs 7 500 rubles ($129), and $215 for a perfume in a presentable wooden package. It is on sale at GUM, a department store in Moscow, which was formerly run by the state.
