EGO catamaran superyacht is latest project by Italian designer Mauro Giamboi. Based on the idea of “informal luxury living,” EGO is 36m vessel with three decks and a 12.8m beam.
New clientele tend to be less formal in their approach to yachting” states Giamboi.
EGO has a powerful look and an informal layout with curtain window space and huge cabins, and can be built in composites materials or aluminium for a light weight and fuel efficient navigation, with her two bows slicing effortlessly through the waves at almost any speed.
Giamboi said that it took a huge amount of work to reinterpret what a Power Catamaran should look like and how it should function.
With a full beam salon and two principal cabins on the main deck, the guest spaces are larger and closer to water access than most superyachts. Two further guest cabins are located in the portside hull, whilst most of the six crew reside in the starboard hull.
EGO has a comfortable cruising speed of 22 knots, meaning you can easily sail the Atlantic in style. With the addition of its hydro-jet, that goes up to 25 knots.
