The famous fashion brand Louis Vuitton, together with the artist Jeff Koons, which is a modern version of Andy Warhol, has launched a special collection of handbags, called The Masters LV x Koons. Bags which are the reproductions of famous painters, five masters – Titian, Leonardo da Vinci, Rubens, Van Gogh, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, will surely be a true fashion hit.
Collection is made of wallets, several models of purses, backpacks, silk scarves, so it is virtually divided into five segments.
Each segment has a reproduction of one of the aforementioned famous artist. The main motives for the subjects of this collection are the famous Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and Van Gogh’s Wheat Field with Cypresses. Others include The Tiger Hunt by Rubens, La Gimblette by Fragonard and Mars, Venus and Cupid by Titian.
Koons’ creation – leather pendant in the shape of a rabbit also adorns each of the models of the collection, a recognizable symbol of the LV logo and the name of the artist whose motive is transported on bag’s canvas.
The names of famous painters are created from polished metal, so they are very conspicuous as a detail.
The curiosity is the fact that the interior of the purse or bag hides additional information about the artist whose painting adorns your fashion accessory, so you get the info in which museum you can see the original artist’s work.
The Masters LV x Koons collection is already on sale in Louis Vuitton online store, and will be on store shelves from April 28 this year.
