Master & Dynamic has made a name for itself with headphones that combine style, premium materials, and good sound. Now, New York-based audio company, introduces its first wireless speaker, designed in collaboration with renowned architect, Sir David Adjaye. The new $1,800 MA770 speakers are comprised of a seamless, sealed concrete composite, weighing in at 35lbs. It measures in at about 16- x 20- x 10-inches in size, and can be used in conjunction with a second speaker over WiFi.

When viewed from the front, this new Master & Dynamic speaker is relatively square; look at it from an angle, and there’s a large base that slopes upward to a thin upper section. Viewed from the back, this speaker is is angular with a small rear opening.
To use the words of Master & Dynamic’s marketing department, “the piece has a rich, sculptural quality, with a robust, tactile heft that is delicately balanced with gentle, sculptural curves”.

In that sculptured body, are two 4-inch kevlar woofers and a 1.5-inch titanium tweeter powered by a 100 watt Class D amp. For connectivity, the MA770 has Chromecast built in, as well as Bluetooth and a wired auxiliary input. According to Master & Dynamic, the MA770 is the first Chromecast speaker that uses multiroom audio for stereo pairing.
