The origins of the brand Fai Dee has a long tradition dating back to a family business of rubies both in heated and no heat traits, marketed as “Red Diamond”, the Rare and Exceptional quality Pigeon’s Blood Ruby. Their latest creation is “The Grand Phoenix” necklace worth $35 million, presented to the public at the just-concluded Baselworld trade show. This necklace, which is the fruit of Fai Dee’s illustrious history is made of 24 “super exceptional” unheated Burmese rubies, each ranging in weight from 1 to 6 carats for a total of 59.83 carats, plus 100.21 carats of D-color flawless and internally flawless diamonds.
The Grand Phoenix
They have been gathered under the direction of each of the company’s four generations; it’s a piece nearly 100 years in the making.
This ruby and diamond combination in a flower motif is a signature of Fai Dee’s creations.
The Phoenix Necklace will be the centerpiece of a jewelry exhibition of Fai Dee’s creative jewels and private ruby collection.
The Grand Phoenix
The exhibition will be presented by the Stardust Monte-Carlo, a longtime Monaco-based luxury jeweler. It will be held at the Hotel Hermitage, Salon Belle Epoque, Monte-Carlo, August 1 – August 21.
