The first production Ferrari 275 GTB/4 will be on the auction to be held on 18 May in London. In 1966 Ferrari unveiled its new model 275 GTB/4 at the Paris Motor Show, which became a hit after the success of previous models 275 GTB and GTB/C, which appeared two years earlier. Although Paris Motor Show from 1966 is far behind us, a car that was introduced then is again in the spotlight.
Ferrari 275 GTB/4
The car is completely original, powered by a 3.3 liter V12 engine and chassis number 08769. A brand new engine developed 300 hp and allowed the car to accelerate to 268 km/h. Only 280 copies were produced, and the production lasted from 1966 to 1968. It is painted in traditional Rossa Corsa red color with the interior in black.
This first prototype of Ferrari 275 GTB/4, will be sold by the auction house Coys London on 18 May, and is expected it will be sold at a price of $2.6 to $3.2 million.
At the auction will be also sold Ferrari GT Cabriolet ($1.9 million) made in 1961 and Ferrari 330 GTC ($678,247) from 1967.
