That Boutique-y Gin Company (TBGC) has ‘launched’ Moonshot Gin, made exclusively with botanicals that have been sent into near-space. Juniper, coriander, cubeb pepper, fresh lemon peel, chamomile flowers, cardamom, dried bitter orange peel, cinnamon, liquorice root and angelica were all sent into the stratosphere at altitudes over 24km with the help of SentIntoSpace and exposed to an air pressure of less than 1/100th of that at sea level (after 18 or 19km the pressure is already so low that water and fluids in the body boil at body temperature!).

Batch one of Moonshot Gin is a release of 1,000 bottles and is available now from retailers including Amazon and Master of Malt. Its botanicals were sent into space on 7 March.
