The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Bal Harbour, Fla., teamed up with renowned French glassmaker and jeweler Lalique to introduce a series of exceptional luxury experiences for guests. One of them has yielded the world’s most expensive macaron. Dubbed the Crystal Macaron, priced at $9,703 as a nod to the hotel’s address, 9703 Collins Avenue, is made with white tea, decorated with edible gold leaf and rests on a cushion of sugar crystals.
Furthermore, the Crystal Macarons come in a Lalique crystal box that customers can keep. Also, lucky buyers will also get an overnight stay in the resort’s new Sky Palace suites where the macarons are served with Afternoon Tea on one of the suite’s four oceanfront balconies. Ideal for families or groups traveling together, the Sky Palace Suites offer residential luxury living for up to eight guests. Each suite offers four 210 square-foot balconies with uninterrupted ocean views as well as the famed St. Regis Butler service.
That’s not the only new, expensive offering from the hotel. It’s also selling new cocktails served in Lalique glasses — at $200 per drink. Customers can keep the glasses, and regular guests of the hotel can get their names engraved on them.
