The northern part of Norway is a paradise for those who want to retreat into solitude and nature, and avoid places filled with tourists … Infinity House is exactly designed with that purpose. It is located in a remote area, surrounded by northern landscapes and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the sea. Its simple monolithic concrete structure rises above the rocks.
Crude materials create a sense of connection with the surrounding landscape, while oversize windows make maximum use of the spectacular views and erase the boundary between exterior and interior.
The building consists of three main elements – exterior concrete superstructure, black concrete roof with infinity pool, and a black box with a bathroom and a secret staircase.
The house is designed as a large open space where the living room, kitchen and bathroom are finding their perfect place.
Interiors are subtle, in a predominantly monochromatic tones, so as not to disturb the light and colors that alternate in exterior. The northern part of Norway is famous for the natural spectacle of the aurora borealis, and definitely would be a shame not to see it.
Closed black volume of bathroom contains a staircase leading to the infinity pool located at the roof. Swimming pool with heated water is divided into two parts, one for swimming and one for relaxation, by providing the opportunity to the owners to enjoy in all its aspects.
