When you cross the fashion and luxury on the occasion of sports events , then that’s great news for all. Last in a series of interesting business cooperation is between the famous fashion house Louis Vuitton and the prestigious tennis tournament Roland Garros. The French fashion house has created a unique trunks in which will be stored the Musketeers and Suzanne Lenglen trophies for major championship of France.
This year the tournament will be held from 22 May to 11 June, and like every year, trophies or cups, are designed for the male and female winners of the finals. The trunks were created to actually represent the historical significance of the championship. They look classic and elegant and at the same time represent Louis Vuitton’s trademark. The two trunks feature the house’s signature brass corners and lock as well as a terra-cotta interior evoking the clay surface of the tennis courts of the historic Roland Garros venue in Paris where the tournament takes place.
The world’s oldest jeweler and goldsmith – Maison Mellerio is responsible for making the trophies.
Mellerio dits Meller is a French jewellery house, founded in 1613, and still active today. It claims to be the oldest family company in Europe. Today Mellerio is based in rue de la Paix, Paris, with branches in Luxembourg and Japan.
