French fashion house Hermes exceeded the world auction record, since their bag was sold for $380,000 in Hong Kong, said the auction house Christie’s. The auction house didn’t identify the buyer of matte white ‘Himalaya’ Birkin bag made from crocodile skin. The bag was made in 2014 and has a 18-carat buckle, and is decorated with 205 diamonds. It reached $380,000 at auction, a record amount for a bag sold at auction, according to Christie’s.

This surpassed the record set by the similar Birkin bag sold a year ago for $300,000, and produced in 2008.
