If you are traveling this summer in Paris, do not forget to bring your swimsuit – the water in the Bassin de la Villette canal is so pure that you can swim in it. Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo has officialy confirmed on Twitter that the tourists will have at their disposal three new pools of different depths, built on the south side of the Quai de la Loire, where the Canal Saint-Martin and Canal de l’Ourcq meet. One of the pools will be dedicated to children.
Results of laboratory analysis showed the presence of 15-20 different species of bacteria per milliliter of water, while the maximum number is 100, which means that the water is extremely pure.
The city authorities hope that the pools in Paris will become one of the favorite tourist attractions.
