“Aurea” means golden in Latin. In the yachting world, it now means new 70m/230ft superyacht project by Pininfarina and Rossinavi Yachts. The yacht emphasizes the owner’s lifestyle, and it aims to provide an irreproachable experience as far as comfort and convenience are concerned. Designed around the lifestyle of her future owner and his or her guests, luxury yacht Aurea has three exterior decks and is to have the largest beach club for her size range to maximise the time spent close to the water as a group.
Sweeping exterior lines from the bow merge seamlessly with the stern to create a smooth and very modern silhouette that provides privacy to the guests while also offering extensive windows and balcony space for views out across the bow and along the hull. The main deck will host guest cabins and a folding bulwark balcony will provide guests with an additional private outdoor space.
Aurea’s diesel-electric propulsion is in the yacht’s center, rather than at the stern, so the designers created a virtual playground at the beach club. A semicircular social social area, nudged against the transparent swimming pool, provides yet another great view. Steps on both sides lead down to the water. The sweeping stairs give the stern a dramatic, almost regal look.
The owner’s deck is integral to the new approach to interior design. Large glass doors open onto a terrace, giving the owners a private balcony to the bow area.
The guest cabins also share a private balcony, ideal for social gatherings on long cruises, and each cabin has its own large picture windows. Making the most of the yachting experience on a cutting-edge design is not an easy feat.
Even though this is just a concept at this time, we do hope that the Aurea will inspire some of the world’s most capable shipyards.
