French luxury brand Hermes announced the launch of a limited edition scarf to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary. Commemorative 90x90cm silk twill scarf, christened as ‘Into the Canadian wild’, features an ornate nature scene by artist Alice Shirley printed on one of the brand’s iconic accessories and rimmed with a bold frame of red.
The landscape scene, which includes polar bears, Canadian geese, deer, beavers, bears and more attempts to showcase the, “natural richness and diversity, burgeoning with wildlife,” found within the country’s vast landscape.
While the initial scarf release is limited to a select number of pieces, the company says there are plans to release “additional colorations of the design” in its Autumn/Winter 2017 collection, which arrives in stores in August.
Further celebrating the occasion, Hermes stores across Canada will present exceptional ‘Into the Canadian Wild’ storefront windows.
The ‘Into the Canadian Wild’ scarf retails for $485 and will launch exclusively at Hermes stores across Canada and on hermes.com, commencing June 15, 2017.
