Dominator shipyard launched their Ilumen luxury yacht and named Kalliente. The owners of this Dominator 28m Illumen took part in the christening and launch ceremony at the shipyard. Designed by Alberto Mancini responsible for exteriors and interiors the 27.5 Dominator semi-displacement motor yacht has been built in epoxy carbon to MCA standard.
The name Ilumen has been inspired of the bright and light interiors which boast ample use of glazing including floor-to-ceiling windows in the saloon and master suite.
Materials used reflect the neutral and welcoming color palette and elements comprising backlit white onyx, soft nubuck leather, matt oak and zebrano. Some of the main features of the new Dominator Ilumen series include a fully equipped flybridge measuring 55 square meters complete with bar, alfresco dining table, sunloungers and optional spa pool. The forward deck can feature either a sunbathing area with sunpads and bimini, or once retracted it can be a sky roof for the owner’s suite below coming with an own terrace accessed via sliding glass doors. Practical side openings at the bow offer panoramic sea views without destroying the sleek and dynamic hull design and the forward deck is free of toys and tenders which are all hidden in the aft transom garage.
Dominator motor yacht Kalliente is powered by twin 1.200hp MAN V8 diesel engines performing a top speed of 21 knots. When trimmed back to her economic cruising speed of 10 knots the Dominator Ilumen yacht Kalliente reaches a range of 1.700 nautical miles. The performance has been further enhanced thanks to a counter-rotating propeller system putting comfort to the fore. With a draft of only 1.30m the Dominator Ilumen yacht will be capable to anchor at shallow and secluded bays off limit for many other luxury motor yachts for charter of similar size.
