Turkish boutique yacht designer and builder Mazu Yachts will bring three new models at Cannes Yachting Festival 2017. Three “sexy” new models include 38 soft top, 38 open and 42 walk-around. They are customised and can be used as either overnight cruisers and superyacht tenders.
Mazu 38 soft top has been launched in June 2017. Designed by Halit Yukay, the yacht has been sold to a European client. He desired to achieve a real “military look” able to combine latest luxury superyacht tender amenities and trendy elegance. She is so equipped with two Volvo Penta IPS 400 engines and the boat claim to reach a top speed of 34 knots.
Mazu 38 open has an open plan layout with alfresco dining space in the aft deck and an en-suite bathroom with separate full standing shower. The hull colours, fabrics and finishes are customisable. The boat has two galleys with Gaggenau appliances both inside and outside, equipped with cooker, grill, microwave and oven, along with sink, fridge, deep freezer and ample storage for crockery and provisions. A bimini, aft deck shower and swim platform with a retractable swim ladder on the transom provide added cruising benefits. She is equipped with Volvo IPS 400 and can reach a top speed of 36 knots, and with more powerful Volvo IPS 600, it can run up to 45 knots.
The largest of all three Mazu’s models to be shown in Cannes, the 42 walk-around has an overall length of 11.99 meters and a maximum beam of 3.7 meters. The centre console, protected by a modern superstructure, leaves room for two lateral walk-arounds. The yacht has a freeboard that is high enough to allow safety movement on deck while at sea. The sun bathing area is located near the stern, while forward the cockpit is complete with a V-shaped settee and a second settee forward of the console. The size of the aft platform has allowed the yard to create a seaside terrace. A mobile kitchen comes with Gaggenau appliances. She is equipped with two 435hp Volvo Penta IPS 600 giving her a top speed of 47 knots, with a cruising speed of 32 knots.
