A vehicle that at first glance looks like a costly $700,000 Mercedes-Benz, is actually a copy made by a group of Japanese students with a budget of just $9,000. The Chinese may be best known for producing copies of original cars, but the Japanese have shown that they can steal them in this skill. Unlike Chinese manufacturers who make their automotive clones in a serial and sell on the domestic market, 12 Japanese students have decided to make a single copy of the Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6 to show that this can be done with a relatively small sum of money and its own skills.

As the “donor of the organ”, were served two Suzuki Jimny JA11s from the 1990s, and the result is truly amazing.
One copy of Suzuki’s terrain was used as a vehicle base, and from the second was borrowed the third axle for this Mercedes clone.
Mechanically, many parts have been taken over by Suzuki, but some systems like brakes have been modified.
The copy has similar proportions as the original but is, quite understandably, smaller dimensions than the real Mercedes’ terrain.
The power is also modest, since Suzuki’s original engine is used, and the clone has no 6×6 drive that is characteristic of the original model.
