Cabin, which until a few days ago was known as SleepBus, is actually luxury hotel on wheels. Cabin became a full-fledged hospitality transportation company with more than $3 million in seed funding announced last month.
The company and its CEO and CoFounder Tom Currier want to change people’s travel experience by giving them the chance to reclaim their time by merging transportation and accommodation into one experience.
Designed as a special double decker bus, Cabin will provide travelers the luxury of 24 beds or sleeping pods, a lounge space, a bathroom, and, of course, Wi-Fi, as well as hotel-style mattresses and comforters, personal electrical outlets and reading lights. There’s also morning espresso and evening tea.
Cabin will turn costly and draining regional trips into affordable, comfortable, enjoyable experiences. The first route for Cabin will be the 400 miles between San Francisco to Los Angeles starting on July 14, 2017.
