Jamiroquai’s singer, Jay Kay, is known to the automotive world as a very passionate car collector. His personal collection includes a number of vehicles, and as far as Italian icons are concerned, besides Kermit Green Ferrari LaFerrari, there is one from another era – Lancia Delta Integrale Evo II. Made in Italy in 1994, this Integrale model has been imported to Great Britain some six years later, and has ended up in possession of this British singer and songwriter in 2009.
Jay Kay has maintained the car since then in an ideal condition and later that year had to send it to Lancia’s specialists to repair the engine after a malfunction. The works included piston reinforcement and change of bearings, polishing the crankshaft and cylinder heads.
Despite investing more than £8,000 ($10,300) in engine development and repair, Jay Kay still wants to separate from his Delta Integrale model. To find a new home for a car, the SilverstoneAuctions house is in charge, which put it on auction that will be held on 29-30. July, and is expected to change hands for a figure between £30 and £35,000 ($38,900 and $45,400).
