Famous singer and songwriter Julio Iglesias is asking $150 million for his four lots in the exclusive Indian Creek Village near Miami Beach. The prime land (Lots 4-7) faces west, sizing up at eight acres and offering 800 feet of water frontage along Biscayne Bay and is zoned for single-family homes. Records show it was purchased for $14.8 million in 2012. Lot 4 – for which Iglesias paid $21.6 million in 2014 — was vacant land.
Iglesias purchased two of the lots (5 and 6 Indian Creek Island Road) years ago and lived in a home there, but the property records do not show how much he paid.
“I’ve been spending only two months a year at my home in Indian Creek, but I do not have the time to build like I was thinking four years ago,” Iglesias told the Herald. “My children are older and want to live in different parts of the world, so I have decided to sell these incredible lots.”
That may seem like a huge asking price for vacant land, but Indian Creek Village is no ordinary neighborhood. With just 41 homes, the village has wealthy and famous residents such as billionaire Norman Braman, businessman Carl Icahn, retired Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula, billionaire Edward Lampert, and Turnberry Associates head Jeffrey Soffer.
