The legend says that the victims of mysterious plague are haunting this lonely motel located amidst the state of Nevada in the United States, however, this isn’t the only thing which make this motel furious.

The Clown Motel in Tonopah, a former mining town located half way between Las Vegas and Reno, as the name suggests, is home to hundreds of clown dolls.
Dolls adorn the reception, rooms, corridors and walls, attracting and intimidating tourists from all over the world for two decades. Some of the clowns are even above the bed, and guests say they have to cover their towels so they do not have nightmares.
And in order for the situation to be a bit more nasty, the motel is located right next to – the cemetery.

Tonopah Cemetery has existed since 1901, and besides the victims of the plague epidemic from 1902, there were buried miners who lost their lives in a fire in the city mine in 1911. It is believed that the ghosts from the cemetery are chasing the guests of the motel.
Even the “Ghost Adventures” team is invited to investigate the situation at the motel, after having registered an abnormal dose of paranormal activity.
A housekeeper at The Clown Motel, Andrea Selig, told the ghost hunters that she has experienced extreme anxiety in all of the motel’s rooms before and has seen doors shut by themselves.

Whether it was true or not, TripAdvisor visitors say that the motel is a fun, unique, kitsch place and provides a unique experience.
After twenty years of work, owner Bob Perchetti announced that the motel is on sale. However, fans can breathe. The condition of this sale is that the heritage of the motel remains intact, so that the new owners can upgrade the motel, but not destroy what the motel is recognizable – damn and excitement.
