After making its name building microphones for both amateurs and professionals, Blue made the leap to headphones three years ago. Their headphones – the MoFis, Ellas, and Lolas have found their way to true worshipers. To join to the wireless craze, Blue released ts first wireless headphones – the Satellite. Blue’s Satellite headphones not only offer wireless audio and noise cancellation, but utilize a built-in amplifier to provide a powerful sonic experience.
Blue Satelite Headphones
Available in black-and-silver or white-and-brown models, the circumaural (over-the-ear) Satellite headphones are chunky and offer a secure fit. The earphones are also similar to their older brother and sister in terms of overall design, still clearly modeled after classic studio headphones from the 1970’s, but with more subtly-designed black plastic exterior prominently featuring the Blue logo on each earcup.
Even though the looks are softer than their more expensive predecessors, the Satellite sport a more vast array of features. Although Blue’s other models also feature built-in headphone amps to power their custom drivers, the Satellite are the only ones to feature active noise canceling and Bluetooth.

The amplifier, active noise cancellation, and Bluetooth pairing are controlled via a trio of raised-plastic buttons that surround the Blue logo on the left earcup, with a similar set of buttons on the right side to control volume, playback, and phone calls. The LED-lit power button and micro-USB charging port can be located on the bottom of the left earphone.
With ANC and the built-in amp disabled, Blue quotes 24-hour battery life over Bluetooth.
The $399,99 Satellite headphones also feature a built-in all-analog audiophile amplifier, which pairs beautifully with the company’s proprietary 44 mm drivers, with the included 3-meter audio cable eliminating the need to charge up your batteries.
