The longest cross-sea bridge was built in China, connecting Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao. The bridge is 55 km long and was built for seven years. The trip which took 3 hours was reduced by a bridge in only 30 minutes.
For the construction of the bridge, were used 420,000 millio tons of steel, with which could be made as many as 60 Eiffel towers. The whole project is in fact 89 km long, because apart from the bridge, there are several artificial islands and a tunnel below the sea surface.
Interesting is the fact that this bridge will also have electric filling stations, 429 DC and 121 AC types. However, there is a black side of the construction of this bridge, which killed seven workers.
