Wider has announced the intention of adding a new, 130-foot motor yacht project to its existing line up of hybrid superyachts. As her bigger sibling – 150’ Bartali and 160’ Cecilia, the new all-aluminum yacht will be equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system and azimuthing pods, which offer quieter cruising and up to 20 per cent less fuel consumption than a traditional twin screw configuration. At anchor, she will be able to operate silently on battery power alone for up to six hours.

The exterior and interior layout makes the most of life at sea, natural light and available space, with floor-to-ceiling windows in the main salon, drop-down bulwarks, indoor-outdoor living in the sky lounge, and a large waterside beach club.

Utilising diesel-electric power means an enhanced engine room configuration, allowing the guest accommodation to stretch into space usually reserved for the engines. For this reason, the Wider 130 boasts accommodation for 12 guests in six staterooms, each with an en suite bathroom, while crew enjoy three twin cabins and crew mess. The captain’s cabin is up above, adjacent to the wheelhouse. There’s also a tender garage with room for a five metre tender and two Jet Skis that can be launched via a built-in crane.
