The most unusual Ferrari ever produced, called “Uovo” in Italian means “Egg”, will be offered at auction, and experts predict that its price could exceed $10 million. The value of the car is estimated at between 5 and 7 million dollars, but it is assumed that buyers for this Ferrari will offer more money. Model 166/mm212 Export Uovo, commissioned by amous Italian driver Giannino Marzotto in 1950, will be sold by Sotheby’s auction house in California on August 18th.
The car was created by Italian sculptor Franco Reggiani according to the idea of Marzotto who wanted a “futuristic” but racing car.

Named “Uovo” or “Egg”, Ferrari reminded of a wingless plane and did not go unnoticed in racing.
Auctioneers RM Sotheby’s stated: “As it has never been shown at any concourse event, it would surely be welcome at the most exclusive concourse around the globe, where it would be a clear highlight and award contender for its unique design and incredible history.
“The Uovo is, without doubt, the living expression of one of the greatest personalities of the Italian early fifties racing world.”
